University of Notre Dame Australia

The University of Notre Dame (UNDA) is a private Catholic University with campuses in Western Australia and New South Wales. Cannings Purple worked with UNDA to launch and build a narrative for its strategic plan. At the heart of the strategy was the development of a campaign style landing page that communicated key aspects of the strategic plan. Strong visuals and rich media in the form of a hype video are deployed above the fold of the landing page to engage and capture interest. A timeline module is used to communicate the longevity and impact of the university's plan and links to upcoming events are displayed to further engage students and staff. The communication of key messaging pillars is brought to life with strong block colours as well as multiple navigation points to download the strategic plan and link back to the parent website.

Cannings Purple worked with the Australian arm of Shell plc to create a dedicated landing page for the Crux Project, an offshore gas field that will be used to backfill gas demand for the company’s innovative Prelude Floating LNG facility.

The landing page was designed to be simple and seamless for the company’s bold and clean style, while using iconography to communicate key project areas, locations and information. Fact sheets were developed and hosted on the landing page to proactively address environmental planning and project planning concerns that might be raised by stakeholders.

The Crux landing page is part of the Shell Australia domain and integrates with the main site.

Hedland Maritime Initiative is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Pilbara Ports Authority – the world's largest bulk export port authority with a total annual throughput of 733.1 million tonnes in 2021-22.

We assisted in the naming of Hedland Maritime Initiative and created a brand for a special-purpose vehicle that would facilitate the planning and development of a Maritime Precinct in this high-volume traffic zone.

The development required a complex buyback scheme of residential property within the zone, so our website was designed to provide community explanation of the scheme while also targeting potential business investors for the commercial offering within the maritime precinct.

The website required a range of functionality including frequently asked questions, archives of email newsletter campaigns, data visualisations and updates, multiple forms for users to address stakeholder enquiries, interactive maps and history modules to communicate the purpose and impact of the project.

Cannings Purple works closely with the owner’s IT team and adheres to strict security protocols to protect the commercially sensitive site, including using Citrix to login and manage the site content on a private network, the use of information architecture, IP address blocking, and regular penetration test responses. We also provide regular uptime and plugin update information to the project owner.
